My name is Fred Brownson and I have worked in information technology for the entirety of my career and have 20+ years of experience. I’ve always worked in environments where I have worn many hats. I have a lot of operating system experience with both Windows and Linux, Active Directory administration skills, experience with enterprise PKI, and experience managing networks. I strive to learn new things all the time and spend a large amount of time outside of work bettering myself by learning new technologies. I have an extensive lab of equipment at home which will inevitably be material for some future blog post(s). My current learning goal is to deeply specialize in networking and programming/automation.

Outside of work and learning, my hobbies include photography, reading books that don’t have anything to do with information technology, and spending time outdoors. I am currently attending Western Governors University for post-baccalaureate studies in Computer Science. Occasionally, I have also been known to sleep!
